Meet the Executive Board

President
Emma Levick
Hi! I’m Emma, your STEP President! I’m a history major and am doing certificates in Nonprofit Management and Public and Professional Writing. I am a Canine Companions graduate, first with service dog Zia and now successor service dog Midas. I am a big advocate for Canine Companions and the ways service dogs change lives, having had this experience first hand. I joined STEP in my freshman year and have found a community of passionate people who believe in and support the mission of Canine Companions as much as I do.

Vice President of Raisers
Marissa Bordone
Hi! I’m Marissa and I’m the Vice President of Raisers for STEP@Pitt! I’m a Junior majoring in Natural Sciences on a Pre-PA track with a certificate in Conceptual Foundations of Medicine. I’ve been involved with STEP since my freshman year, and it has been the best part of my college experience! I am so inspired by Canine Companions’ mission and I am passionate about spreading awareness about Future Service Dogs on campus, and the impact Service Dogs make. Last year I served as the clubs Secretary, and I had the privilege of raising my first puppy, Philomena! I look forward to going back to my puppy sitting roots this year, and I hope to raise another pup in the future. I am so grateful for the people, pups, and experience the STEP community has given me, and I’m excited to continue this club’s success with the rest of Eboard this year!

Vice President of Sitters
Kailey Vento
Hi! I’m Kailey, and I’m the Vice President of Sitters for STEP@Pitt! I’m a junior majoring in Bioengineering with a concentration in Medical Product Engineering and a certificate in Engineering, Design, and Advanced Manufacturing. Last year, I served as the club’s Business Manager, where I worked to make college puppy raising more financially accessible. This year, I’m excited to focus on training sitters who can support our puppy raisers whenever they need a hand. I’ve loved being a puppy sitter for STEP since my freshman year, so this role means a lot to me. I’m excited to continue sharing my love for our club and our amazing pups with the Pitt community!
